I swear this just happened and I VOW to get our picture together in the next 24 hours.

I’m in Kirkwall (Orkney, Scotland) at a tiny hostel aptly named Peedie Hostle. I just finished an awesome yoga practice, ear buds in, rocking out to Mavis Staples “Down in Mississippi” in the Peedie kitchen. I was showing off my avocado toast “Cali Girl in a Scot World.” I fling open the door obviously I struck a person. A French priest in full-on robes and rosary beads! He is such a good sport and kind.

My travels rock.

I love SOME gospel music especially when we change the words in Unitarian Universalists CongregationS .... is there any tradition of Buddhism music ? When I think of my Buddhist monk and nun friends all I can recall is Tibetan horns Japanese bells and Chinese GONGS & mandolins everywhere.... Ravi Shankar sitar or drums may be buddhist friendly from Hindi but my style is closer to Nora Jones his daughter and John Lennon on keyboards with rhythm rock guitars

The Orkney Islands, land of one of my favourite whiskies: Scapa. I really liked a few spots there, like the Italian Chapel and the totem just opposite the road that leads to the Chapel. If I go back I'll definitely buy a few bottles of Scapa...

It’s gorgeous here.

@SarahSiddons, it is. Just like all Scotland.
