My fiance and her aunt are stuck in Mexico and recovering from COVID. They have been in the hospital for the last four weeks. They gave her aunt the Russian vaccine beginning two weeks ago and according to my fiance she is recovering. My fiance begins treatment tomorrow. Her doctor predicts a two week recovery period after beginning the vaccine treatment. Both have been on ventilators, my fiance last two weeks, her aunt for four werks.

I am pleased to hear your family is recovering, but find it highly unlikely they are being treated with this same product, they may be being vaccinated against RE-infection but not as a curative that is not how vaccines work.
There has been a medical "holy grail" of a therapeutic vaccine since the 1960s, but it has never come to reality yet.
Antigen vaccines.
Dendritic cell vaccines.
Tumor cell vaccines.
Have been developed to treat and prevent the growth of active cancers but they are completely different to antiviral vaccines.
I'm having trouble getting specific info about the drug in question. Mexican hospital not very forthcoming. Mexico is a trading partner with Russia, but have no idea what they are acquiring. Whatever it is it seems to be working for her aunt.
@t1nick vaccines are supposed to Prevent infection, not treat it once you contract the virus! It is far more likely Time is allowing your relatives to recover.
The way vaccines work, no way would I allow myself to be vaccinated if I was already ill!!!!!!
You are correct about the role of vaccines. I will gladly get a COVID vaccine when it rolls out. I have compromised lungs from multiple episodes of bronchitis as a teacher. I want to remain in the classroom, so if it takes a vaccine, so be it.
