I have 8 Churches and a Christain School between me and town. Within a 5 minute drive, I have another 3.

Well...a church pretty much is a prison, so that would explain quite a bit.

Same where I live. Small town, 3 prisons, 20 churches in a 5 mile radius.

Churches and prisons are remarkably related., Blind following of the church results in imprisonment of the mind. Like a prison, it is extremely difficult to escape from.....

The town where I grew up -- Page, AZ -- was mentioned in 1975 in The Monkey Wrench Gang by Edward Abbey. It's amazing how religion can distort the culture of a small town.
It seems to be obvious to everyone but the theists.
