Somebody on this site recommended to read works of a spiritual teacher Echart Tolle. Quickly scanned his ideas and found out that he is just another mistic. His idea about here and now might be useful for some depressed people, but when I came to the talk show where he speaks about death which is to his understanding death of mere form( body)I lost my interest in him. I would like you to share your opinions on him. Thank you.
In my humble opinion, he's not just another mystic. I've read, for want of a better term, "alternative spiritual" healing books since the 70,s. And while Eckhart Tolle isn't saying anything that hasn't been said before, after reading "The Power of Now", as well as listening to some of his CD's, I developed a deep appreciation for his ability to put esoteric concepts in simple, easily understood terms. The story of how he reached a state of enlightenment is quite interesting, as well. I was especially impressed with his no-nonsense approach to taboo subjects (death, relationships, etc.)
