This is the voice of bell hooks from a selection of writing contained in a textbook titled Place Matters.
To me place and identity have been explicably in the back of my psyche for most of my life.
It wasn't until I was in my late thirties that I came to a peaceful embrace of my "place" both where I come from and where I am.

I think as I get older that where I've been occupied more of my reverie than where I am.
