I remember a few years back when some guy in California hooked a whole bunch of balloons to his lawn chair and was floating around near the approach path of LAX.

@MissKathleen I've given up flying (even real airplanes with a current airworthiness certificate) because I don't trust my vision and mental acuity enough any more. Besides, now I like to sit in the back and have a beer while the pro's stay on the flight deck and do all the work.

Yes that guy with the flying chair made the darwin awards, however he only got an honourable mention.
It was pretty tragic actually his chair came down when he hit power lines, and even then he survived, but after being sued for damage to the pylon, facing international ridicule and going bankrupt he shot himself, missed and on his third attempt managed to kill himself.
