I just wanted to share an experience with my mother who is religious and sometimes can get really aggressive when even the mention that there is no god sets her off.

My mother, I love her to death but she is in such a state of depression that she takes every little thing as a sign from god. Well good for her if it kinda keeps her mind at ease then be it. But my father runs the page Military Atheist on Facebook and me and him were just chatting in the living room. My mother was in an entire different room of the house. and we were not loud at all. She comes running in all pissed like and started fucking reading the bible aggressively. My father and I just stared at each other with the same look of ..Really this is not necessary. She then starts off with you need to respect my belief , and talking about that in my home is disrespectful and blah blah blah. My father and I had a conversation with out saying any words. We both wanted to tell her to Shut the fuck up. I wanted to go off and be like well isn't that the pot calling the kettle black. That is just one time, another time she was telling my grandfather a story, This was just this past week, Where she said she saw my long past uncle who died in 2009. She said he was writing a message to her and when my father came in all he saw was his wife standing and spinning in a circle yelling "I cannot see what he is writing get out of the way." At the end of the conversation she said he just now leaves me alone. Tbh I think my mother is loosing it. She has always been like this seeing everything as a sign from god. Tbh even as a kid when she made me go to church, I found all of this crap, just that Crap.
