Have a good day.

Really? The weekend was started here by a Nottingham company who found that letting their staff have 2 days off made them more productive.
I didn’t know that was what labour day was all about.

Its the US, they don't know where Nottingham is.

In which case Henry Ford invented it, for the same reasons: [hankeringforhistory.com]

There's International "Labour" Day. 1 May. Then there's America Labor Day, September 5th which was changed to the first Monday in September. It has nothing to do with Nottingham. At least not in the states. It marks the end of the summer season here.

@barjoe apologies, your image seemed to imply it was related to work rights, including getting the weekends off work. Happy Fall 😉

@girlwithsmiles The Labor movement has been kneecapped. Unions in this country brought 5 say work week, 40 hours, overtime, child labor laws.

@barjoe sorry to hear that, about the knee capping. Sounds like they did some great work before that happened.

@girlwithsmiles The Labor Movement in the USA has declined over the past 40 years.
