Friday morning: already i am frustrated. I cannot open the top drawer of my desk. Time to call on Anoya, the goddess of things stuck in drawers. In case you are not familiar with the Discworld universe and its useful cadre of gods: Anoya is a middle-age goddess with long, painted fingernails, chain-smoking and drinking at all times of the day and night. She loves to argue but does loosen up whatever makes your drawer hard to open.
There we go; just talking kindly about her made her want to unstick the box of reading glasses and batteries.
