I think it's gross and a major turnoff when women let dogs sleep in the bed with them, but I see a lot of pictures of that on dating profiles.

I would say that's your issue. My dog is my company and my baby. She keeps me warm and
loves me no matter what. She's my infant.

You wouldn't be alone on that thought eternalwisdom. My one aunt is a dog fanatic, and back in 2012 she got (I think this is spelled correctly) leptospirosis from one of her dogs that slept with her in the bed. Two of her dogs were never properly trained, and would at time have accidents, including on her bed. I tried to warn her that could be a possible health hazard, knowing some of them were not well trained, but she didn't listen until she got sick. My advice to you would be to avoid women like that, there are plenty out there who would think like you. I've only ever dated women who were not pet people due to having allergies, as my allergies are bad enough on their own this time of year without the help of other factors.

Wow that's the first time I've heard of that but it makes sense. Someone argued "you can bathe the dogs." I said "give them two days and they're dirty again," to which she said "wash them again!" I've never met a pet owner with enough free time or discipline to bathe animals that frequently, plus I'm sure it would be bad for their coats and skin so the only solution to maintain a clean bed is to not allow animals in it. I also have developed allergies to cats, especially their litter boxes. I've had to do installs in houses of people who hoarded animals and my eyes welled up and I could barely breathe from the foul odors and dander.

@eternalwisdom The last part you mentioned sounded foul indeed, feel sorry for you, I know how bad allergies can get. In short, my bed is where I do "adult business" when I have a woman over aside from sleeping, and regardless of my allergies I wouldn't want any animal laying on the same surface that I do the "deed" on, is all.

Then I guess you won’t be hooking up with someone who says “must like dogs”. They crash with me on my bed, pack mentality. It’s fucking great

I don't think it's gross. Dogs and humans are both social animals.

I don't have a dog, but would not find myself inclined to get involved with anybody who who thought cats or dogs on furniture or beds was gross.

That said, I HATE pet hair in bed and in my mouth. So, my poor kitties, more and more, are getting relegated to sleeping away from me.

Perhaps you are jealous of them....lol

Yeah nothing like musky dog farts in bed. So jealous. lol

My dog currenly does but I wouldn't advertise that on a dating profile. I also wouldn't put him in bed if I have company. He's just in bed now cause we're both cuddlers and I don't have anyone to cuddle with right now. I would probably still take naps with my dog even after the relationship but I wouldn't want the dog in bed when my partner is. That's too awkward and makes the bed just about sleeping which is fine when I'm alone but not when I have a partner.

I understand that. I love dogs in general. They can be great companions, but I believe in discipline and they should sleep in their own designated spot. I have "dated" a girl who had a rabbit that would jump on the bed during our naughty times lmao talk about awkward.

@eternalwisdom Well a rabbit makes for a good story! Yeah any pet interruptions is not attractive.
