If it helps people at all with understanding someone sees things differently than you, I will tell you why I voted as I did. When I voted for Kamala, I was thinking it's not ok to fire or refuse service to someone because they are gay. I felt the blue vote was more in support of science and helping the poor and in bringing people together. It's good to see a woman of color in the White House.
My friends that voted red would say they did because they are concerned about our security, babies, and the economy. Just about every other person in our country voted differently than you and everyone sees it a little different too. We have some differences in education, experiences, and are exposed to different media. We still have a lot more in common than our votes. Let love win in America everyday.

Of course we do. We just disagree sharply on the means to the ends. (And we tend to be more worried about the babies that have already been born.)

I agree. And I have also heard a lot of Dems liken Republicans to Satan like they are all really greedy or really stupid and that isnt correct either
Unfortunately even though Biden won the election Obergefel vs Hodges will be overturned by this court. So sad RBG didn't live a few months longer.

Such a strange thing really that the government should pretend to create or destroy interpersonal relationships with denial or consent and in a piece of paper anyway. The person closest to you should have a right to hold your hand when you are ill and be called family. Everyone needs care and respect. Anyone should be able to buy a ring for whoever they want to. It's so much more than about a ring or a piece of paper. I think we will continue to evolve in how we relate to one another for the better.
