Depends on what your interests are. At times, I wonder if the group/cliqueish mentality is playing a significant role on the division we see in society? To be fair though, I suppose groups can be useful in the exchange of information and tips etc. I'd definitely recommend the martial arts group. Take care.

Just kind of plug around, find a few members that you seem to agree with and follow them, they will lead you through the site to lots of groups, you can join, unjoin and rejoin as the mood hits you. I think that I belong to a bunch and many don't have much action, but you never know when they will take off. Welcome to the asylum.
