Fate is not done with me yet.
I will not retell all the bad things that have happened to me in the last three months. seems there is still another lesson I need to learn: my insulin pump went kaputt (a technical term meaning shit the bed)
Deep breath now and pretend I am back in the '70s with my syringes. I had suppressed the memory of how tedious the whole process is. My fingers are sore from doing blood samples for measuring. I forgot my glucose to insulin ratio and all the other little data the pump's computer took care of.
Not to worry, Medtronic already sent me a new pump. Now I need to learn to set it up correctly. Low growling from me in the background. My endo people sent me the two data I need to calculate the amount of insulin I need to inject, but all the other set up data is a mystery to me. I should have attention when Amanda set up the pump the last time.
Oh rats! Now I am paying for it. And you know what happens to a heart patient when anxiety hits! I am going to sit on the floor and do my yoga breathing.
Just stay calm and try to focus step by step on what you need to do. We all know you can do it and you will succeed! As Anne says...the technical help to set the new pump up is at the end of the phone, just listen carefully and do it!
You can & will do this, even if you are on the speakerphone with Tech Support for hours! Remember there are No silly questions, this is your life!
Yes, Anne. Thank you.
