A 17th century official name John Wilkes was repeatedly unseated by parliament and re-elected repeatedly by what was called "the mob". RING A BELL? Samuel Johnson said to Boswell, "had Wilke's mob prevailed against the government, this nation had died of phthiriasis." Can you imagine the proud boys dispersing due to a case of terminal head lice? Oh that it were true.

The John Wilkes insurrection was put down on May 10, 1768 when soldiers opened fire on demonstrators protesting against George III. That George III, the guy that we revolted against. If those Capitol Hill insurgents had been black they would've been gunned down the same way.

Agreed!
