Unfortunately looking quite bleached like the rest if it 😞 I do tend to think of the colour coral when it comes to healthy reefs.

His may be a bit bleached, and coral can be very colourful, but I think that there is a bit of photoshop colour enhancement there.

@Fernapple That the ocean is losing its alkalinity due to pollution might be a factor. That's just a question. I do not pretend to know the scientific data about the ocean.

It isnt bleached... Its pristine and healthy... The reef surrounds a deserted island 50k off the coast of mozambique in the madagascar straights...... The post is a straight screen shot of raw footage

@Redneckliberal Yes, I was meaning that girlwithsmiles photos were perhaps a bit enhanced, not yours. Sorry not being plain.

@fernapple her shots are beyond enhanced... Been diving since the 70s and have never seen anything that "gaudy'..... Were bringing in scientists from a coral restoration foundation to study this reef... They will be taking samples for dna study to hopefully reestablish the dying reefs in the florida keys and elsewhere...

@Redneckliberal cool. According to this article some reef items are more colourful than others, even in the same reef, thought yes, perhaps not as gaudy as the pictures often found online.
