The Missouri House of Representatives voted unanimously on April 21 to expel Rep. Rick Roeber . On April 19, the House Ethics committee released a 13-page report following its investigation into allegations that Roeber had abused his children. The Committee found the testimony and allegations of Roeber’s now-adult children to be credible and recommended Roeber’s expulsion.
Ethics Chair Travis Fitzwater and House Speaker Rob Vescovo issued a joint statement, saying: “Our caucus and our institution have a zero tolerance policy for anyone who would endanger the well-being of a child, and it’s clear that Rick Roeber’s heinous actions make him not only unfit for office, but should also make him the subject of a thorough investigation by law enforcement.”

Excellent point, Joe, but now I’m curious. Was there time before the elections to investigate?
Being accustomed to the excesses of partisans, and assuming a GOP-controlled HR, the party may have delayed investigating the allegations until after the elections so the voters wouldn’t get angry and elect a Democrat.
This is from 6 weeks before the election. You decide. [kansascity.com]
These allegations were made about Rick Roeber before the 2020 elections. That didn't stop Republican voters from electing a man who raped his 9 year old daughter. They voted for Josh Hawley and the voted for this piece of shit. This man should be drawn and quartered. The voters of the 34th district knew this and voted for him anyway.
