I have found that many believers have never confronted many of the beliefs of their religion.They just have never given thought to address them but accepted them because that was the thing to do. It is amazing that they have accepted a practice just because they were brought up this way and assume they must follow or be rejected from their society.It is these same people who vote the way their parents have without thinking .

I agree, religious fervor to be banal, puts words of arcane hope ahead of logic.
