The “authoritarian” or fearful mind abhors uncertainty.

Be a little more tolerant of uncertainty, maybe; it is the diversity of our responses to outside forces that keeps us strong, and just bc your neighbor is doing it doesn’t mean you have to!

We are running toward a world where everything will be either mandatory or illegal. Why not let vaxxers vaccinate, and abstainers abstain? Bc you do not want to live in that world i bet. “I’m vaccinated, and I will still avoid the unvaccinated” makes you a believer ok

This article makes absolutely no mention of Covid or vaccinations. Neither Covid or vaccines are political issues beyond how governments handle such things.

So, your "suck it" jab just comes across as juvenile, petty and meaningless.

Why are you pro-disease, pro-sickness, and pro-death?

ah well you make some assumptions there @ “political” im not so comfortable with, but maybe you’re right—any idea what vaxx manufacturers are getting paid, Charles? Bet it’s a lot more than $600 lol

and juvenile and petty maybe, meaningless remains to be seen i guess
it was mostly a jab at the fascist element, that vaxxers seem to get drawn into? Although i doubt that describes most of them, no doubt most just get the vaxx and go on with their day or whatever

and i am pro- all of those things bc that is how a strong immune system evolves, by being exposed, and im pretty sure that the fear-induced Sterilize Everything and Isolate model will turn a statistically insignificant issue—intense focus notwithstanding, .03 or .04% really can’t be ignored—into a raging inferno, by basically employing the same tactics as have been used on Ca wildfires, with the same expected results; suppress small, natural fires long enough, and overwhelming conflagrations are sure to come

death seems terrible to us, and so we label a virus “bad” bc the weak die from them, and our label is then used to rob the treasury of surely enough to give even you pause, multiple $trillions and counting, all in the name of keeping the weak in the gene pool, exactly what nature does not intend, regardless of anyone’s “feelings.”

So you end up financing your own demise, just like the people without names who own you want to happen, Charles, hell, they aren’t even shy about it. That’s why

Don’t worry though, all dissent will be stifled, you will get your way, surprised I’m even still allowed here tbh, nice knowing you and best of luck ok

You're right. The manufacturers are getting paid because researching, testing, and mass producing vaccine for a few billion people doesn't happen for free. But I suppose we can't trust people that are getting paid. Next time your house is on fire don't call the fire department. You know how much those people are getting paid?

What is fascist about getting a vaccine? If you live in the U.S. then you've almost certainly received or benefited from a multitude of vaccines that have eradicated diseases.

Diseases are not wildfires. People are not trees. That's a silly analogy.

So, human lives have a price? What is that price? How little do people's lives matter to you? I suppose it would make zero difference to you if it were your parents or siblings or children who died of Covid? Hey, they're just weak people, right? Might as well apply that to people with cancer too. Or anyone who gets too old. Sorry grandma, you're not worth the money to keep alive anymore. Too bad Billy needs a new heart because he was born with a defective one. Hey, he made it to 5 years old but why bother spending another cent on him?

There are still 800 deaths per day in the United States. More people are going to get sick. And die.

Happens every day, joe, and influenza apparently remains at #8 regardless.

@bbyrd009 22K deaths USA in 2019 from Influenza. 500K+ deaths USA in 2020 from Covid-19. 25 times as deadly. Not even close.

@barjoe well, I’m not disputing that it isn’t more deadly, although I would bear in mind that hospitals get paid more to diagnose c19. Regardless of that, a microscopic number is being multiplied into a minuscule one, seems to me. Think ill follow the money

@bbyrd009 Now you've gone into true lunatic conspiracy stuff. Trump tried to push bullshit that doctors were intentionally diagnosing Covid-19 for money. I don't think you are stupid enough to believe that but you are still passing it along. Do you still think the election was stolen too?

@barjoe my understanding was that hospitals were being paid more to diagnose c19 in the US, but i don’t know if that is true, or still true, or not

@bbyrd009 No. Government guaranteed hospitals would get paid for Covid-19 patients, whether they were insured or not. No extra pay for doctors. No incentive to make false diagnosis. It's more than likely there are more cases of Covid than have been reported.

@barjoe “ It is true, however, that the government will pay more to hospitals for COVID-19 cases in two senses: By paying an additional 20% on top of traditional Medicare rates for COVID-19 patients during the public health emergency, and by reimbursing hospitals for treating the uninsured patients with the disease (at that enhanced Medicare rate).

Both of those provisions stem from the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act, or CARES Act...”
[factcheck.org]

@bbyrd009 Trump's Claim Doctors Are Inflating COVID Numbers was bullshit tho. [politifact.com]

@barjoe Bc Medicare fraud is unheard of, right?
ok joe
from your link,
“ It’s standard for Medicare to pay a hospital roughly three times as much for a patient who goes on a ventilator, as for one who doesn’t.

Medicare is paying a 20% add-on to its regular hospital payments for the treatment of COVID-19 victims. That’s a result of a federal stimulus law.

The claim’s suggestion is that the number of COVID-19 cases is being padded; but evidence indicates the cases are being undercounted.”

which, strangely enough, i guess cases can be both padded and undercounted, yes. Surely many asymptomatic cases are not counted at all, and just as surely, some hospitals might be padding cases

@bbyrd009 I have one question for you. Do you think the 2020 election was stolen?

@barjoe i edited up there fwiw, and i am an anarchist, joe, don’t care who gets elected, the potus’ boss doesn’t change i guess 🙂 (“give me control of the money supply, and i care not who makes the laws...” )
but i am willing to concede that more cases are undercounted, simply bc we are talking about such statistically insignificant #s of symptomatics anyway

@bbyrd009 Election fraud exists but the election wasn't stolen. Medicare fraud exists, and there's cases of prosecution. None for misdiagnosed of Covid. If there were anarchy in USA, I would have to load up on ammo. You think we have lawlessness now.

@barjoe anarchy is not chaos, joe
