Religion has played some terrible parts in the story of humanity. It is a very destructive force, hidden by the people in power at the top of the Catholic Church to protect the guilty. The very same corrupt people who are supposed to protect the most vulnerable in society, Organized religion does far more harm than good, and my hope is one day it gets tossed into the garbage bin of history. Then we can take care of humanity without these caretakers of misery and death.

I’m sure you’re about to tell us whether you can cite the scientific data that backs up this claim, or it’s just something you take on faith.

You are talking about government by people, religion has been defined for 2000 years as helping the vulnerable and avoiding corruption.
Why do you refer to catholic form of government as a religion?

Organised religion has been with us for at least 5,000 years. I do not see it going away soon, and certainly not in what is left of my lifetime.
