We are ALL disappointed with the performance of Congress. Yet, we continue to put the SAME (or similar) people into those offices. Why? I don't understand.

Ever heard of Doctor Wayne Dyer? He's one of those, "woo, woo," self-help gurus. He's had some of his seminars recorded and broadcast on Public Television - which is where I came across him. I probably fell asleep watching an episode of NOVA when his program came on.

He was talking about how to change your habits... Change how you view yourself so you could make the changes you would need to make in yourself in order to rid yourself of some of your bad habits. Not a bad thing to ponder, really.

Anyway, while half asleep I heard Dr. Dyer say this..., "When you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change."

WHOA!

That makes more sense that anything I have ever heard in my life.

Just stop and re-read that passage. Read it again. When you change the way you look at things... The things you look at change.

You can use that statement in every aspect of your life. Try it. You can. And it may actually make a profound difference in your life... Because for once in your life you will not be doing... The same things, over and over and over and over again... Expecting a different result. See how that works? That word statement can CHANGE THE WORLD.

Juxtapose that statement to our current political situation. Yes... WE keep doing the same things over and over and over, again and again and again... Expecting a different result. We BELIEVE that we can change the political atmosphere by simply adjusting the majority in Congress... Between Democrat and Republican. And every time... We are disappointed.

Why? Because a consensus cannot be reached in a 1:1 scenario.

What WE, as voters, need to do is to place a wedge between those two parties. WE, need to..., "... change the way we look at things...," in order to..., "... change the ways things look."

WE... Need to STOP voting for only Democrats or Republicans. WE, need to put butts in seats not beholden to the 2 major Parties. Then, and only then, will WE THE PEOPLE be able to take back this country and return it to a true Democracy.

YOU need to do this - every one of you. And for those who will say, "But I have no choice but a Dem or Rep," I say this... Make your voice be known that you... HAVE NO CHOICE... And others will hear you. This is not an INSTANT FIX. It requires work. But all things worthwhile need work to obtain.

You can do this. WE can do this. WE CAN take back our democracy... But WE are the only ones who can. It IS up to us.
