I disagree with much of what the article states about what we are told. The MSM talks constantly about poverty and inequality. Afghanistan did bust up Al-Queda and we did kill their leader, OBL, when Obama made that a goal again. Further, we got the hated Taliban out of leadership and Afghans have a chance to stop them from retaking it. That's a reset for them and a win for us.
