So I just got an email back from TAR (Texas Adoption Resouce). We have been considering adoption and have found the cost of a private agency prohibitive. Adopting from the state is (or was) much less expensive. However, as I was notified, 'Region 6' (me) doesn't do that effective July 2, 2021. They suggested I use a private agency. Presumably they contract with them. Privatization in action, profits before people. And children. I normally try to avoid politics but I am pissed.
