Lots of personal part time health care workers who refuse to be vaccinated, yet work very closely with the elderly, unmasked or very poorly masked, and is a very scary thing, since workers are hard to find, pay is not super high, and exposes the elderly (sometimes not vaccinated) and their co-workers.
I have a friend who is a care taker for an elderly woman with dementia and they have not been able to vaccinate the elderly woman she cares for -- and now a part time worker comes into the home daily just to help my friend get the woman into the shower refuses to get vaccinated... I feel bad for my friend because I sorta got this anti-vaxxer the part time job BEFORE I knew her stance on vaccinations, through a friend of a friend, who I have now unfriended because of her anti-vax stance. It's so disrespectful to work with patients who can't get vaccinated if they are not vaccinated themselves. I told my friend that there is no shame in putting her foot down and demanding she wear a mask around the patient and herself.
How can anyone be so stubborn and uncaring about the health of others... maddening! Yet, respect for others "beliefs" mean we need to coddle the anti-vaxxers. Nope, not me anymore. Mandate vaccinations for all health care workers! They don't wear their PPE properly anyway.
