So, auntie Ida is on her way to town to celebrate the anniversary of Katrina's arrival 16 years ago tomorrow. I'll spend today preparing to ensure everything is ready her so she'll have fewer opportunities destruction. I'm not in a flood zone so wind is the most worrisome. Dragging everything we can inside and tying down what we can't, and hanging plywood on the front bay window so it won't crash in on us. Wish us luck!!!!

good luck. this one could get rough. are you bugging out?

As of right now we're staying put. We're in an area that we are pretty sure will be safe and not flood, even though rainy and windy. If it starts looking a lot worse later, we may head to my son's house, which is in an area that didn't have any damage even during katrina.
