Have you ever asked a theist how they justify the horrors done that where commanded by the character God in the Bible, If so give examples.
Yes I have and the general concensus seems to be that it a is all a part of "God's plan" and it is not for us to understand. Which to me translates as, "shut the hell up and be a good, little mindless automaton. Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain."
LMAO that sums it up. "Don't pay attention to the man behind the curtain."
Just Tuesday, there were a bunch of creationists at my college campus and I asked one to justify God's condoning of slavery in the Bible. He just gave me the whole "it's just indentured servitude" bullshit. I told him that that was only for other Israelites (foreigners could be kept as property forever), but they just kept repeating that "it's not the same kind of slavery you're thinking about."
Not one of them will reach it either because they can't let it be true. If they found out the truth then how can they justify an all loving benevolent God.
