I have only been here for a few days and even though I had to pick some “labels” for my profile, I’m not a fan of labels. I believe in being respectful to all humans unless an individual does something to lose that respect. I have noticed that some people on here make fun of religious/christian people by calling them stupid, ignorant, believe in an imaginary person in the sky etc.....would it not be better to discuss religious/christian beliefs that are detrimental to the human race instead of making fun of them. Just my two cents worth!

Welcome! This site as I understand it started out as a dating site and has rapidly become a community. Often people come here to vent or discuss issues such as dealing with being an unbeliever in a theist society.

As for making of people who worship sky daddies. That is a bad idea and from what I have seen it is very much frowned upon. I will and often do make fun of the idea of worshiping a zombie, eating and drinking it's blood etc. because it is ridiculous.

Many people whom are undecided about God or gods do visit or view this website. It is good to be bold in order to let them know that it is O.K. to questions ones beliefs. There is a time and it is often effective to ridicule beliefs in order to provoke thought.

I do prefer to discuss beliefs that are detrimental to the human race. There is sometimes much truth to what the Bible says... To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: Ecclesiastes 3:1

People are free to do and say whatever they want. I was just expressing a thought, I don’t expect anyway to have to agree with me. As far as ridicule used to evoke discussions, psychology shows that the person being ridiculed will become more entrenched in their beliefs 🙂

@Pamela3224 Thank you for expressing them here. I hope I did make it clear that I do very much agree with you. You are also very correct that we should not ridicule any person as they are more likely to double down on their beliefs. It is much better to encourage thought and let them come to their own conclusions. One must be very carful on how to approach people and that we use the appropiate technique at the appropiate time. Than you for this discussion!

Yes I agree we should all have some fun and people are free to have fun however they choose 🙂 I guess making fun of people is not my idea of fun....to each their own 🙂 BTW I never said I found anyone or anything said offensive 🙂

Hi,
a bit of fun never hurt anyone,
we want to make fun of them,
they want to burn us in this life and send us to burn forever.
They get off lightly.
I come from a super religious background,
my mother is a pious twit,
but I have a problem with stupidity,
not lack of intelligence, just stupidity.
I make fun of atheists also.
Welcome to the site, but expect all sorts of comments,
some even shock me.
