Every single life form employs violence to survive so it's likely that alien life would also. Having intelligence they might first talk to us but it wouldn't be long before realizing humans aren't friends.

I’m not afraid.

Well... in the works of science fiction, I put myself in the place of the characters. I truly feel we will be subject to the predation of advanced species much the way colonizers brutalized more primitive peoples. I think Stephen Hawking made a similar observation.

@WilliamCharles I agree with Hawking. But if there were aliens, I think they would have come by now.
