As far as WWIII in a few months, the world, aside from maybe the US and slightly possibly Japan and or Australia, but doubt it. Of course, maybe China has an agreement with Russia for when they invade Ukraine (I can build scenarios as well). Taking over Taiwan is part of China's 100 year plan. If you examine their passports, they show exactly which lands they claim: Taiwan; parts of Southeast Asia like part of Vietnam (they fought wars there in 79 and 80 - those wars made China what it is today, a modern military, after getting their asses kicked); part of India; most of the South China Sea. Whether China decides to act now, or in the next 60 years, Taiwan will fall. Only nucs could slow down an invasion there. I'm not sure China feels the US is weak enough at the moment. It is scary that Xi has been given the power to stay in office for life and put on a comparison to Mao. Still, six months? The Chinese Navy would get decimated in the South China Sea currently. The US would stop all debt payments. I'll give you that Xi is ambitious; I don't believe he is stupid however.
