I am passing along this link for those interested in investor and consumer activism mechanisms in areas of climate change and a couple of other areas. There is some relevance to politics and policy, so posting it not only to an environmental group I manage, but to the broader politics posting area.
The idea is to take a new action-oriented approach to reducing the flow of unacceptable and ultimately deadly disinformation.

Pretty simple, actually. Do enough research on a company to know if you want to support them or their holdings. If not then don't. Check your appetite for the product or buy it from a company that is more in line with you. I've done that since the Valdez spill for almost any product I buy. What town, or state, is the product made in? That's also part of my purchase decisions. I eat at Burger King because it's cheap and Canadian so I help their people pay for health care if BK pays their taxes up there. I buy BP gas, when possible, to help the British do the same. Our populace, among others, needs to get committed about our existence or it will be no more. Good luck.
