Agreed. Climate change is most certainly an observable event, so why do many people actively disbelieve it or attribute it to an act of god? It speaks to the old "god of the Gaps" argument: If we can't explain it (which we most certainly can), then let's blame it on god.

Well, they can have their own opinions; what drives me nuts is that they have their own ‘facts’. Belief is NOT the same as scientific, confirmed facts! The cognitive dissonance and willful ignorance is frustrating, too. I’d rather knock down a brick wall with my head, than try to have a discussion with those folks.

You are correct IMO concerning climate change. The evidence is overwhelming that climate change is real. But the Christians want to believe the rants of Fox News without any evidence that climate change is a hoax. IMO soon it will be evident to all that we have a climate problem.
