Voltaire's words were true back then, and still are to this day. Objective truth (reality) is still under constant attack-

It is one of the most favorite fake quotes on this site ...
and that atheists keep using it is nothing they should be proud of.
Here is the original:
"Certainement qui en droit de vous rendre absurde est en droit de vous rendre injuste."
(Voltaire: Questions sur les miracles, onzième lettre. Oeuvres complètes, tome 46, 1785, p.451)
Correct translation would be like this : "Those who have the right to ridicule you have also the right to wrong you."
Then even if he didn't say such, the words themselves are still accurate, and had more to do with the post I linked to than Voltaire himself. Thank you though for clarification.
