On one's profile page one can fill in a variety of answers, such as looking for "Long Term", Dating", "Hook-up" etc. Do you think there should be an option for "friendly, uncommitted face to face meetings"

@WileEQuixote @LeighShelton "Friends" is too vague a term. I have Facebook "friends" with whom I communicate, and who live within a couple of miles of me, but with whom have very little in common and who I do not wish to meet for a coffee and natter.

I think people need to learn what that concept is.

Agreed there. People you would like to know more personally, rather than as an online name, but in a platonic manner. (Maybe that should be the category's name - platonic friends)
