Most people ignore the first two acts where we get to know George Bailey and witness the life events that shaped him into the good man he is.

Without this, the despair that makes him jump off the bridge has no context.

The angel stuff isn't important. The stuff before it is.

And I think a lot of us don't.

Especially if they only know the film through its most famous clips.
