On being out of touch.
So, in a month or so, I'll be moving back to a muslim country to work. It is one that can literally kill you for being an atheist. Needless to say, I'll be keeping my head down. I lived there for many years, and in fact it is where my last bits of religiosity were shed, and I realized I am, in fact, an atheist.
I am working on ways to keep in touch with the community... Set up a secure apps section on my phone for all my heathen podcasts, etc. I'm not sure if I will be able to maintain the same level of security accessing websites like this one. I've got a VPN on all my devices, and will be setting up a VPN router at my residence.
Any thoughts, ideas, experiences out there that might help keep my head?
Peace
Yea . . .
Why is the Job worth the effort to travel to a nation which has no respect for individual liberty?
Why work for such a nation?
Why lend them your mind, skills, and labor?
Money trumps ethics?
Thanks for tagging me in this post @NotConvinced. A good start would be to check out the one post I did about the top 10 security and privacy focused apps, while most are for Android some are for Apple too. A reliable VPN is a must, or if you have Android I'd recommend Orbot too. If you want a separate space on your phone, I would suggest looking up the app Parallel Space, which can clone apps and manage them separately, useful for having more than one account on a single device. Hope that helps some.
