Top Ten Favorite False Prophecies Spoken by Jesus himself

Back when I was a Bible-believing Christian, one of my biggest problems was all of the Bible's "prophecies". My ministers, seminary professors and other Christian leaders were hyperventilating over how "miraculous" it was that these "prophecies" were so wonderfully fulfilled. But, to me, the only "miraculous" thing was that anyone could claim to believe these predictions that were so obviously wrong and often simply fakes.

Eventually, facts overrode faith and the Bible's clearly contrived "prophecies" were a major factor in me becoming an ex-Christian.

I've created a 14+ minute YouTube video that discusses 10 of Jesus' most easily disproved "prophecies". In most cases, I use the Bible itself to disprove these, although a couple of them are just common sense.

Very good video. I like how you demonstrated the intellictual gymnastics many Christians engage in to defend their own particular "literal Interpretations". For me however, this video also supports my own individual belief that the New Testament is simply a retelling of lessons taught about and for Jewish society in the Hebrew Scripture. I believe the Christian Scriptures were originall created to relate these same Jewish societal lessons on a personnal or Mystic level. The literary characture of an actual first century Mystic Rabbi (Jesus) simply served as an individual stand in for Jewish society. This is why the New Testament states several times that the Kingdom of God is at hand (nearby) or in other words inside you. This idea replaces the O.T. notion that Israel or any other society is Gods kingdom. In other words nearly the entire writing was intended to be understood as metaphorical. I think it's obvious that any first century Jew would have recognized these familiar lessons from the O.T. and could not have interpreted N.T. writings as anything but metaphorical. The "Sign of Jonah" has been found on many first century Christian tombs. It was a stick figure man walking out of the mouth of a fish not walking out of a tomb, to me that proves the Jesus resurrection was as metaphorical as Jonahs'. Finally, the reason the entire bible both old and new testiment is historically in accurate is because historical accuracy was very low on the priority list the various writers.

I agree. The New Testament reflects the fact that Christianity was primarily Jewish before the destruction of Jerusalem in 70 AD, and rapidly evolved into being primarily Gentile after that. So the authors are trying to straddle a fence and appeal to two very different groups.

That was a great video! I was a fundamentalist, young earth creationist, indoctronated as a very young child. I bought it so much I was not afraid to study even though I was warned not to. I am now an atheist and still study these same topics. It is nice to see someone of a like mind.

I am now a new suscriber on your channel on youtube. Please link your channel in your bio so that others may benifit from your knowlege.

Cant we just let religion and god alone? Just let it be!

No. We must fight the good fight against blind faith. Valuable time and resources are being wasted by the religious. We must not stop proclaiming the truth until all are free from the shackles of religious nonsense.

@The_Antichrist Your fight... funny, let me know when you liberate from the shackles that making you call yourself "the myth of the antichrist".. he, he, ha, he, ha. Funny, funny. Dont believe in christ but believe in the antichrist!!!! Funny!
