Religion does not hurt progress by accident, religion is the method people use to justify being anti- progress, when they can't find a good reason.

Of course it has been said that politics is the art of making lies sound truthful and murder respectable. Therefore, that being the case, there is more chance of me winning the 100 meters in the next Olympic Games than there is of hearing anything truthful from either politicians or religious people.
