Observation would show undeniably that there us a great deal of religious moderation ie, the direct result of taking the scriptures less and less seriously. So why not take it less seriously still? Why not admit that the bible is merely a collection of imperfect books written by highly fallible human beings.

Feel free to reply to any comment by clicking the "Reply" button.It seems to me that there is less moderation, at least here in the US. True, there are more non-affiliated people, but that doesn't mean the existing sects are more moderate.

The US is the one strong and last holdout. Hopeful the ppl would wake up someday.
