You know, it seems to me that if the US hadn't wasted so much political, financial and reputational capital in unjustified wars of invasion, like Iraq and Afganistan, they might have had the will and the support of the world in directly helping to defend the people of Ukraine, who, like the invaded counties in Europe in WW2, would so welcome this involvement to save them from external invasion. The US's reluctance to get involved directly here is another consequence of the folly of the US Military Industrial Complex which can just never deduce the difference between an honourable and a dishonourable war.
