I'm presently driving around France and England.
Should be back home in Spain at the beginning of May.

You probably intend your “Should….” to mean “I’ll probably….” or “I may….”

Smart-mouth me asks “Why should you?” (grin)

I'm acting in a local amateur dramatic society's show from May 5th to May 8th, so "should" is highly appropriate.
Luckily, I've already learned my lines!

Can I reserve the guest room for June?

Are you coming out this way?

@Petter Well, I will, if I have a free room.

@MsKathleen My wife and I would never charge for that.

Only if you can get the fuel. LOL

No problem getting the fuel. The problem is getting the money to buy it! £1.80 a litre. (£8 per gallon)

I used almost 100 litres from my house to Guildford - driving for economy!

@Petter They say that if the distance is more than two hundred and fifty miles, you actualy use less fuel flying.

@Fernapple But then spend a fortune on hiring a car, not to mention the excess baggage fee.
And, of course, since there are two of us travelling that makes the break-even mileage 500 miles.
