What is a deal breaker for you in a potential match? And could you date someone who was religious?

I don't want to date someone religious. I also don't want to date a smoker or someone who uses any sort of illegal substances. I will absolutely not date a conservative.

Someone who doesn't like me. That is a real deal breaker for me. Faith isn't a problem. Going to church is.

Deal breakers, well theres lots, Nazis/White Supremacist, intolerant people, trump lovers, climate change deniers and deeply religious people. I have dated people of faith who are on the fence about religion in the past. So thats not an automatic no. Oh and NO Westboro Baptist church supporters either.

Yup, all these.

Same. Everything you listed.

Narcissists, self-righteousness. Someone who always has to be right or have the last word.

Yup!

I could more easily date a religious persons than a smoker. If a person smokes, tht is a deal breaker.

I heard on CBC radio a story about a vegan who plans on marrying a man whose culture puts meat in every dish. If people respect each others' belief systems, a good relationship is possible.

thank god (heh) for CBC....

If you just said you were religious but didn't do much more than Xmas, easter, births and deaths I would be ok but it depends on our conversations really. when I'm with someone I want them to be part of who I am really and those can't include fairytales.

If you don't try to change me then I would honor the same courtesy. If that doesn't work then that's a deal breaker. There will be always differences, that's not where the problem is at... The problem lies when flexibility is not part of the whole picture.

I am dating someone religious. we get on fine. Don't touch religion or atheism in our conversations. If it was not for the great sex, which she does not believe should be before marriage but she enjoys anyway, ( yeah, one for the good guys ) I do not know how long it would last.
