Another Rumi quote. I like that man, whoever he is.

We are all here...

And then, one day, we are all over!

I admire Sufism as much as I admire Norse mythology.

@Spinliesel - I was into Carlos Castaneda and Don Juan

@FrostyJim Don Juan, you mean? Of course, you were.

@Spinliesel - not sure it is the same Don Juan... this was about the magic of the Yaqui medicine men

@FrostyJim Thank you. Something new to research for me.

@Spinliesel - Carlos Castaneda was an anthropology grad student and wrote a very popular continuing series of best selling books in the 70's chronicling his journey as an apprentice Yaqui medicine man - that turned out to be totally fake and pure fiction... but became a drug culture classic due to the frequent use of psychotropic peyote, and herbs and the mind altering rituals of this native culture... and accepted as truth for many, many years. One of the great social scams of our age... a very riveting tale and great reading along with his journey... as good as Tolkien and a trip to Middle Earth in my opinion.

@FrostyJim Don't you think that myths and other fictions are just as good as technical manuals when it comes to learning new ways of doing something? Right now, my grandson is trying to steer me towards that mythical tree bark stuff ( cannot remember the name) that causes periods of vomiting, followed by god visions and bliss and absolute certainty of one's way to paradise. Since I hate throwing uo , I will have to rely on the power of my mind to get me to the next step. For me, words and to an extent images are powerful tools, with out without chemical help. I will search for Casaneda's work at my library.

@Spinliesel - if you enjoy sorcery, native medicine magic, and witchcraft mixed with Myan mysticism - you will like these books...

@Spinliesel - he started out as a sudo-science celebrity, but since he was outed as a fraud many years ago he became a recluse and continued to proclame his big lie? Hmmmmmm... like many other con artists?
