Proud grandmother moment. I'm helping raise a granddaughter who lives with me on weekdays and with her mother on weekends. Yesterday afternoon her worthless mother (my former DIL) didn't pick her up after school as she was supposed to so I got a call to come get her. When I got there she'd been crying and said she didn't think her mother cares about her. She's right but I didn't say so. By the time we got home, her mother was here looking for her and had the nerve to ask me if I could give her some gas money. My granddaughter spoke up and said she would pay for the gas (from the allowance I gave her that morning) and that her mother had a lot of nerve asking me for money when I'd just had to go pick her up. I feel like I'm raising her right.

I’m glad you are there for her.

@ProudMerry I went through the same thing with my nephew. You can only do your best with the time you have her.
