My little friend (from a previous post) is back. I heard a tapping on the side of the house and went out to investigate. Apparently it was a woodpecker (interesting as I have hardiboard (cement) siding). This year, fall is coming early and there are lot's of spiders setting their traps (which means walking with your arms in front of your face) and lots of birds and frogs willing to share in the bounty. Now I know how the frog got to the windowsill.

Flickers were constantly making holes in my workshop.

Can they get through cement siding?

@JackPedigo I would not expect one to take on cement unless it saw wood underneath. They are looking for insects but if they find a hollow then they've found a nest possibility. Being bigger than woodpeckers, they are quicker at making holes around 2" diameter.
