I wasn't clear enough the previous time I brought this up, but I am now. Given nowadays how the mainstream medias sources (both left and rightwing) waste no time in fully covering mass shooting incidents after they occur, I had a question regarding a recent St. Louis high school shooting that involved a nineteen year old gunman who had been a former student there just the year before. Said incident took place earlier this week at Central Visual and Performing Arts High School, and while the identity and related details including photos of the shooter came out in less than two days, curiously enough some of the more well known left-leaning sources like CNN and WaPo did not post any photos of the shooter when they were released, and appears to have recently updated their articles/uploaded some photos possibly as a PR stunt due to many on social media raising the question as to why they did not immediately share that as soon as that info was made available, aside from related memes on the topic circulating on social media.

So my question is simple... why did the following sources not publish photos of Orlando Harris as soon as they became available, being the medias are supposed to supply the public with all the available details, as deliberately withholding such would constitute an act of slanted/suspicious journalism. The very same sources I am about to link to previously had no problem ever in posting photos & other details of past mass shooters as soon as that info became available, so why was there an exception to the St. Louis shooting? These following sources, at the times of publication, were well aware of Harris' identity, yet no photos of him, why is that? How could such be considered acts of full journalism? Since when do we omit such critical details? Something suspicious there, reeks of political correctness...

[cnn.com]?

[abc7chicago.com]?

[reuters.com]

[abc13.com]?

[washingtonpost.com]

By the way, I care not about recent/recently redacted articles, as I want someone who generally trusts those media sources to rationally explain why the ones I had linked to omitted any photos of Harris even though that info was already out there at the time. Also, I care not what rightwing media sources like FOX had to say on that incident, and given the identity of the shooter it should come as little to no surprise that they would share every detail on that they could.

Here's another media source who omitted any photos of Harris, from the Associated Press this time-

Your analysis omits mention of a possible policy change. to deny the shooter the publicity he seeks.

If that were the case, they would not have mentioned his name, but they did which renders that suggestion moot. That said, I rather doubt the mainstream media sources would adopt a policy like that anytime soon.

@SpikeTalon Your simple question was “why did the following sources not publish photos...?

@yvilletom Yes, and I only responded directly to your previous comment, was all.
