SNL gets one more chance next week. If Chapelle can't save it. it's hopeless.
Meanwhile...Amy Schumer is just gross. Can't wait to see what passes for music..

Time for SNL to go away.

I agree. I have given up watching this season except for the Weekend Update. Too many of the funny veterans cast members left.

They were probably saying this when the original cast (Chase, Murray, Curtin, Morris, Aykroyd, etc) went away. Then came Eddie Murphy. He left. Piscopo left. Phil Hartman left. Mike Myers left. Goat Boy left.Tina Fey left. The show survived. I haven’t watched it much if at all in years, but I’m one data point.

I recall they were at a low point when Robert Downey Jr and Anthony Michael Hall were on the cast. That it survived then is a miracle.

I have watched SNL since it’s debut in 1975 as Saturday Night. It has had its up and downs, but I don’t remember so many members leaving at once. They all move on and it is expected. I have gotten older of course, so maybe I just don’t find the younger crowd very funny. That’s on me. I have never found Amy Shumer funny. It might improve and I will tune in, not live as I will want to FF if it is not funny. The 50th anniversary is come soon. It will last until then. Lorne Michael has hinted he will leave then.
