It's allergy season, I have to keep perscription benadryl around. A couple of times my face swelled and I need to go to the ER and get a shot because my throat could swell

Sorry for you, I can relate.

Allergies trigger my asthma, especially in the Spring (pollen from trees and bushes).

Year-round, I take Zyrtec and use Fluticasone Propionate nasal spray daily. There's an asthma inhaler in my purse and daypack. I neve go without it.

When I lived in Oregon, I’d often visit the coast.. I’d tell locals how much I’d like to live there, and how lucky they were… More times than I can remember, they’d tell me how much they’d like to ‘live in the valley,’ but their allergies are so bad they ‘have to live at the coast.’

I can’t recommend the PNW … Chula Vista, hungh.. Where’s all that pollen coming from? My memory of San Diego was ..expensive near-ocean property and increasingly hot desert encroaching homes further out - and a rattle snake alert cuz they were having babies! You need some on-shore flow, or that prescription benadryl 😉

I take a Zyrtec every day year round, and my allergies are still acting up. I feel your pain as I have had several times when my allergies have been life threatening.
