“In this message we jump into part 3 of our relationship series in a message titled "Who Is In Your Ships". As we look at the story of Jonah we will begin to learn that there are some people in your ship that don't need to be in there and what we need to do to get them out. Far to (yes they had to instead of too) often instead of throwing the wrong people out, we have a tendency to try and change that person when in fact we become the ones to change.”

“In this message we finish out our Friend of Sinners series titled "A Sheep a Coin and a Son". One of the core values at ***** Church is lost people matter to God, and therefore they matter to us. As we look at three parables we will learn just because a person may be lost doesn’t mean that they have lost their value.”

So wait.... what if the person in the boat that you kicked out was lost but loved by God and still had value? Fucking hypocrites!

Well I give them points for honesty, if not for spelling. They fear different views, particularly when logically argued, as it might rub off on THEM. That's unusually self-aware for a fundamentalist.

As for a lost person having value, in practice, in my experience, the value of a lost person is their value as a potential convert. Other than that they are, as is pointed out in the same breath, a potential danger to one's faith.

Potential value as a convert, but have no value until conversion. I agree that's usually the actual practice, which doesn't reflect their supposed values.
