Anyone else watch the show: Scientology, the Aftermath? What an incredible show. It amazes me how people can turn off their critical thinking and hand their brain off to someone else. The kids who grow up in it are different but the adults who willing join just astound me.

Actually I find $cientology to be useful in one respect.

When someone tells me that their, and only their, religion is "the absolute truth", and I respond with my opinion that they are all scams, I cite $cientology as an example.

Most people who know anything about it know that it is obviously a scam. So the argument goes, what if L. Ron Hubbard really did get it right, with all that Xenu stuff? Does that mean you should be at sea, on a ship, scrubbing the latrines with a toothbrush?

I've gotten at least a couple people to stop and think

Had a friend who checked it out when in our early 20's. It sounded like a ridiculous money grab then. I hope that series woke some people up.

I know this video is long but it is very good and gives you a better understanding...actually I'd advise you to watch any video joe rogen does on Scientology as he approaches it really well
