I think more and more states will take over the roles that the feds are abandoning. It will also pit states against each other and increase polarization.

Maybe some will see what other states have to offer it's citizens and will press for similar bills. The Death with Dignity program is legal in 5 states (and Canada) including WA. I see now some 2 dozen are looking at similar programs.
