Just started a new group!! It's called Jehovah's witness stories. It's at "Jehovah's Witness Stories" Group or "Jehovah's Witness Stories".

The intent of this group is to discuss the many ways we were fucked by this cult. I started with my own personal story of being molested by a "brother" in our congregation.

I have many such stories! Join to learn more about the cult, share your stories and any ways you "got even". I'll be posting the ways I got even as time passes.

Be cool! Join!

Not sure it is. But upon advice from a friend I put a star of David next to the door. This seemed to eliminate the witnesses from coming back. Could someone who knows more than I explain this.

Whatever works, right? But, seriously...this shouldn't have any meaning or impact to JW's at all. What you may see as eliminating them from coming back may just be a coincidence. The proselytizing occurs only occasionally in your neighborhood (and thus, at your house) because they actually plot out in advance, neighborhoods that they're going to "hit", then after that neighborhood has been bugged, they don't usually come back to that neighborhood for a while....this will depend on the size of your community of course, but the bigger your community and the fewer Kingdom Halls and/or "pioneers" or door-to-door servants are doing service in your area, you may see them more, or less, frequently. Few things scare or drive off, witnesses. The only things that drive them off in my experience are weapons being displayed when the door opens, rabid or vicious looking/barking dogs in the yard preventing them from coming to the door, and...from personal experience, telling them you're "disfellowshipped and haven't repented, and don't care to start repenting anytime soon." 😀

What is the most effective way to deal with Jehovah's Witnesses?

My mom had the misfortune of dating and eventually marrying a man whose family was into this religion. Literally some of the creepiest and bizarre beliefs and practices I've ever seen in my life.

Nothing cool about it, you need some help.

Move along then. Nothing to see here

I could, but I'm over the hate.

Me too. Long long ago. This is more in jest and fun because, why not.

I think religious groups that hide molestation are bad in general especially the Catholic Church ugh silencing so many kids who were raped or molested. As for Jehovah's witnesses I don't really know what they stand for but I'm tired of them coming to my door and I'm sorry for your experience as well. 😟

I moved past it even before adulthood, but most of my brothers still haven't let it go...and it's been over 30 years! This type of thing is definitely not good for anyone who endures it. And for an organization to engage in cover-ups is just despicable. Anyone thinking this was a "one-off" and the organization if wonderful is sadly mistaken.

This is BS - OK you were molested by someone that joined this religion - that doesn't make the religion responsible - just the person that did it to you. There are millions who have joined this religion and even if you have 100 stories that is a small % of people stepping out of line vs. those who haven't. I was sexually abused as a foster child - I don't blame Christianity just because it was a self described Christian that did it. And even if there's a cover-up that isn't a reflection of the millions that join these religions. I'm as non-theist as they come but your premise is nonsense.

You are incorrect. But it's ok for you to believe that (and be wrong as a result). Hidden pedophile files is wrong. Not turning in known pedophiles is wrong. Covering up sexual predators is wrong. Funny part is it only takes one... Not the many you reference.

So you are free to think it's BS but just like the alternative facts that the correct administration believes in.. It doesn't make it right, or true.

You're free not to join the group if you disagree though.

@Clauddvon A few who hide abuse also don't represent all people who take part in that religion. That's like saying if you were sexually abused by a local rancher and the locals swept it under the rug that all ranchers that embrace that lifestyle are equally guilty. It is BS and no I won't be joining your group - call out the people responsible but to label, the entire religion is just asinine and I'm being polite. You want sympathy, you want someone to wipe away your tears - there is a different way to go about it.

@SLBushway are you really that dense or are you just a troll? Have you not researched or heard of the ORGANIZATION WIDE and systematic mandating of the suppression of this information. Elders were ordered not to call the authorities and instead, perform cover ups.

I'll say this one time to you very slowly and clearly, because you seem especially slow - I don't want not do I need spmpathy, you dumb fuck. Now move along.

You should do some research into the JW's before you step into something you're as dumb as a box of rocks about. Seems to me that my calling or this behavior has touched a nerve in you. Guilty?
